What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Avanza is a trade name of Joapo Group LLC, a California limited liability company operating in the San Francisco Bay Area (“Avanza,” “we,” “us”). This policy covers avanzaprofit.com and the financial management, accounting, and advisory services we provide.

We collect three kinds of information, and we collect as little of each as the work allows.
We do not ask for, and ask that you not send us, information about health, biometrics, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, union membership, or precise geolocation. We do handle Social Security numbers and financial account numbers where an accounting or payroll engagement requires it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use client financial information to train machine learning models.
We share information only in these situations:
Our own site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Embedded third-party tools — including the scheduling widget used to book calls — may set their own cookies and receive your IP address and browser information when they load, under their own privacy policies. Our host and content delivery network keep standard security and traffic logs. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site works without them, though a booking embed may not.
We use access controls, encrypted transport, encrypted storage, unique credentials in a password manager, and multi-factor authentication where the system supports it. Access to client financial records is limited to the people doing the work. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected clients without unreasonable delay if we determine a breach has put their information at risk.
We keep client records for the length of the engagement and then for at least seven years, which is the retention period ordinary accounting, tax, and legal obligations call for. Inquiries that never become engagements are kept for up to two years. Server and security logs are kept on a shorter cycle set by our providers. When a retention period ends, records are deleted or de-identified.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, California residents may request to know what personal information we have collected, used, and disclosed; request a copy of it; request correction of inaccurate information; and request deletion. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Email [email protected] to make a request. We will verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within 45 days, or tell you why we need longer. Some records — those we must keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons — cannot be deleted on request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.
Client records often contain personal information about employees, contractors, customers, and vendors. We handle that information only to perform the engagement, on the client’s instructions, and we do not use it for any purpose of our own. Requests from those individuals should go to the business that holds the relationship; we will support our client in responding.
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
This site links to and embeds services we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them.
We may update this policy. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be communicated to active clients directly.
